Bio
Louka is a Teach First ambassador with seven years’ experience working in education and social impact programmes. Louka has consulted on growth strategy and impact evaluation for grassroots education programmes in Europe with Teach for All and the UK Department for Education. Placement 1: Business Strategy Analyst, National Citizen Service
- Led a core team of three to develop the five-year growth strategy
- Fed into business plan presented to Number 10 & Cabinet Office and approved in 2015 Spending Review
- Led engagement with executive team to refine organisation’s strategic clarity
- Project managed team of Bain consultants to analyse supply and demand levers to growth
“Louka played an integral role in the Strategy team during his team at NCS, helping to lead work on developing our new business plan. He approached this work in a thoughtful, analytical manner – and really helped us to think through how to address some of our big strategic challenges. He is energetic and insightful in equal measure, and comfortable dealing with very senior stakeholders. Within a few weeks of working with us, Louka took on responsibility for developing important external relationships – such as our partnership with Teach First, which was announced by the Prime Minister in August 2015. Louka was a joy to work with, and I hope to work with him again the future.”
– Emma Kenny, Head of Strategy, National Citizen Service
Placement 2: Crowdfunding Success Manager, JustGiving

- Managed corporate crowdfunding partnerships
- Fed into user experience research and product development
“Louka has been instrumental in helping to transform JustGiving’s approach to content and storytelling and has become a highly valued and integral part of the marketing team in a short amount of time. Full of energy and enthusiasm, he’s strategically minded but equally able to distill broader thinking into creative ideas and tactics that he delivers to a consistently high standard against tight deadlines. He’s an absolute pleasure to work with.”
A little more about me…
Something my CV doesn’t tell you: Louka has a knack for ‘talent’ contests: he was voted ‘Mr. Oxford’ in 2005 and CosmoGirl magazine’s ‘2nd Sexiest 6th Former in Britain’ in 2003 (to the eternal amusement of his On Purpose pals).
The greatest thing I’ve learnt this year:
‘But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams’
W.B. Yeats
Tread softly with your own and others’ dreams. But know that it serves no one for you not to use your power. Your best is better than you think it is.
