Bio
Loes is inspired and intrigued by the ‘what if’ story: what if we stop accepting the current status quo? What if we start questioning what is commonly accepted? What if we can find new ways of sustainable value creation? What if creating sustainable value is in the DNA of every business model? What is that is the new status quo? She started her career in the financial consultancy world (EY ao), and soon switched to the sustainable agriculture and access to finance world; Loes helped building utz certified (leading sustainability program for coffee, cocoa and tea), access to finance start-up SCOPEinsight, sustainable transparency app Questionmark and social crowd funding platform Lendahand. Her responsibilities ranged from finance and fundraising to marketing & communications and business development. She helped growing Lendahand (loans for SMEs in upcoming economies) from €60k to € 1,5m outstanding loans in approx. 1,5 year. Growing meaningful businesses is at the core of what she loves to do; for OnPurpose she helped GravityLight Foundation to create partnerships with large human aid organizations and helped to crowdfund $300k Next she went on to design a growth strategy for Interface’s inclusive business program Net-Works.

A little more about me…
Something my CV doesn’t tell you: I love shoes. O hang on, my CV will tell you this in the future 🙂
The greatest thing I’ve learnt this year: The opportunities are endless. You just have to grab them.
The best moment of On Purpose so far: Sitting down with my coach where she helped me finally getting the picture clear in my mind. Priceless.
My favourite training session: Tough one: Sarah on organizational change and James on Accounting. Also loved the creativity training from lovely fellow Parita. O gosh I can’t choose!
The organisation I wish I’d started: I don’t believe in ‘ if only’ ….
What I wanted to be when I grew up: A ballet dancer, a vet and a princess.
My favourite book / the book that changed me: Pff! So many books have brought inspiration in different phases of life. Right now I am reading and loving Peter Senge-Presence and Mark Shayler-Do Disrupt. Both amazing stories of amazing people!
