Bio

Silvia started her career in management consulting. She worked as an analyst for McKinsey & Company, focusing on social sector, public sector and strategy projects.  She designed several tools to help companies assess their capabilities to manage external affairs, reputational risk and stakeholders’ interests. While working on external affairs management, Silvia developed a strong interest in corporate responsibility having understood early that business’s responsibility is not limited to delivering returns to its shareholders but must include proactively pursuing positive impact on the society and the environment. This realisation motivated her to make a move to work exclusively on corporate social responsibility (CSR). She joined the leading European business network on CSR, CSR Europe, where she worked as an account manager and a consultant. In this role she supported large multinational companies in food and beverage, automotive, consumer goods and professional services sectors advance their CSR and sustainability strategies.  She also managed CSR Europe’s Sustainable Living in Cities campaign having secured 80,000 Euro in funding and important partnerships with UN Habitat, the United Nations programme working towards a better urban future, and ICLEI, the network of local governments for sustainability. Silvia holds an MSc in Comparative Social Policy from University of Oxford and a European Masters in Comparative Local Development from University of Trento.
