Bio
Scott began his career teaching media and communications and professional writing at the University of Melbourne, while he was studying for a Masters in Global Media Communications. He went on to work in a variety of communications roles in starts-ups, large corporate businesses and global advertising agencies. His last position before joining the On Purpose program was as Head of Social Media for Social@Ogilvy in Jakarta, Indonesia
In his spare time, Scott has been the editorial director of a cultural festival in Sydney (Creative Sydney), co-produced a film festival (Sydney Bicycle Film Festival), was a founding board member of a microphilanthropy organisation (Sydney Chapter of the global Awesome Foundation), and volunteered for 4.5 years coordinating a monthly TED-style speakers series for a youth not-for-profit (Vibewire).
Placement 1: Collaborate
- Project managed 6-month project to research, design and develop sustainable funding models for Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) across four charities in Essex
- Designed and ran two ideation workshops and conducted focus groups to test product proposition
- Built an excel financial model and wrote a business plan for a new set of IAG products the four charities could take to market in partnership
- Developed communications plan for a festival of innovation for Essex County Council (Art of the Possible)
- Designed and built new website for the festival of innovation for Essex County Council (Art of the Possible)
- Redesigned and redeveloped website of Collaborate, the placement organisation.
Placement 2: B LAB UK / B-Corporaitons
- Developed Salesforce pipeline reporting process and documentation to manage business development across the B Lab UK team
- Developed communications strategy for B Lab UK, including content strategy
- Account managed the certification of a number of B Corporations, including helping them use the B Impact Assessment tools, liaise with US Standards Team and communicate their B Corp certification.
